a stimulating program that is accessible to all children and whilst being based on individual strengths also provides challenges to promote their development;
a working environment that encourages educators to be creative and continue their learning process through professional development and mentoring from other educators.
Our vision for CKH children: to develop a passion to learn and discover more about their world through play in an environment that is safe, secure, caring while embracing diversity and individuality;
Our vision for CKH families: to feel a belonging to the centre and participate in their child’s learning through program input and collaboration between families and educators ;
Our vision for CKH educators: to be part of a team that embraces and promotes each individual members strengths and respects and considers each persons opinions, beliefs and values.
My name is Bryony and I am the centre director here at Community Kids Haven Hillside. I have worked in the early childhood industry for over 12 years. I began my career as an 18 year old student and from my first placement I knew this was where my passion was. I began working as a room assistant and worked my way up to room leader, educational leader, assistant Director and then a Centre Director which I have done so for the past 5 years.
My personal philosophy is largely based around relationships. I strongly believe in creating positive and trusting relationships with children, families and educators. I love forming close relationships with families as I believe this plays a major part in ensuring all children develop to their full potential. Being a part of the early childhood of children between the ages of 0-6 years is so critical and I feel very privileged to be a part of their young lives and that is why I love what I do.
I invite you to come and visit our beautiful centre and meet our amazing team of educators.
I look forward to meeting you and your children.
Our daughter Ava has just started in the babies room and from day one she has felt welcomed, comfortable and apart of a family. No tears on her first day, she was very happy making new friends, singing songs and learning new skills. It was a very easy transition for us and we feel very comfortable that she is in safe hands. Thank you very much for making this a good experience for us. - Gem & rich xx
My daughter went to this day care from 18months right through to kinder I cannot speak more highly of all the educators and director after hearing so many horror stories from other parents it's so refreshing leaving your children in these girls care and not thinking already my 15month old son loves the girls and will be more than happy to go when his time comes and so will I we love the ladies at community kids haven. - Pinar Mustafa
My kids and I love the staff and the centre is run. Always feel welcome and involved the minute you walk in the door. Everything is so clean and well organized, learning program is amazing. Most importantly staff is so loving, caring & trusting. Kids will be very sad when they're at primary school and have to leave them because they love all the staff very much ♡♡♡ - Grace Spiteri

We take sun protection very seriously at Community Kids Haven. Overexposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation causes wrinkles and skin and eye damage, ultimately leading to skin cancer.
UV cannot be seen or felt. It is not like the sun’s light which we see, or the sun’s warmth (infrared radiation) which we feel. Our senses cannot detect UV so it can be damaging without us knowing. There is a huge variation in UV levels across Australia. The UV level is affected by a number of factors including the time of day, time of year, cloud cover, altitude, proximity to the equator, scattering and reflection.
Take away the guesswork of the UV exposure each day by checking out the SunSmart UV widget. The widget shows the sun protection times closest to our centres location, making it easier than ever to be smart about your sun exposure all year.
